- Shivratri

According to astrology, the moon is the benefactor of mind and the effect of the moon is weaker on the auspicious day of Maha Shivratri and so the devotes worship Lord Shiva to strengthen the moon in their respective birth chart. It is believed that Lord Ganesha was born during the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month. The celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi ends after 10 days of Anant Chaturdashi, also known as Ganesh Visarjan.
